You will most likely start therapy by taking one white capsule (2.5 mg) of MARINOL Capsules twice daily, 1 hour before lunch and dinner. Your doctor may adjust your dosage after seeing how it affects you. Do not change your dose unless your doctor tells you to change it. If you are elderly, your doctor may prescribe MARINOL to be taken 1 time each day to reduce your chance of having nervous system problems.

For nausea and vomiting that are associated with cancer chemotheraphy in patients who have not responded to standard treatments for nausea and vomiting:1

MARINOL Capsules should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor. Your doctor will prescribe a dose for you based on the surface area of your body. This dose may be given before and after chemotherapy for a total of 4 to 6 doses per day. Your doctor may adjust your MARINOL Capsules dosage if needed after seeing how it affects you. If you are elderly, your doctor may prescribe MARINOL to be taken 1 to 3 hours before your chemotherapy, 1 time each day to reduce your chance of having nervous system problems.

The best place to store MARINOL Capsules is in a cool place (46-59°F; 8-15°C) or in the refrigerator. Dont let the capsules freeze.
